The Israeli troops were withdrawn from the Netzarim corridor – a military zone that cut north of Gaza’s belt from the south.
Hundreds of Palestinians in cars and strollers burdened with mattresses and other goods began to return to the northern Gaza after drawing – often in the scenes of ultimate destruction.
The Israeli withdrawal is in line with the Israeli-Hamam agreement on the termination of fire from January 19, under which 21 Israeli hostages and 566 Palestinian prisoners have been released so far.
By the end of the first phase, the trial of three weeks, 33 hostages and 1,900 prisoners are expected to be released. Israel says eight of the 33 are dead.
Hamas seized 251 hostages and killed about 1,200 people when he attacked Israel on October 7, 2023, launching a war in Gaza.
At least 47,500 Palestinians were killed in the offensive of Israel, according to the Ministry of Health in Gaza Hamas. About two -thirds of the gauze buildings are damaged or destroyed by the attacks of Israel, the UN says.
About 700,000 inhabitants of Northern Gaza fled to the southern areas at the beginning of the war, when the Israeli army issued orders for mass evacuation before launching an invasion of the ground floor on the Palestinian territory.
Many of the displaced were subsequently forced to move several times after the Israeli forces were pushed by southern Gaza.
They were also prevented from returning to their homes via Netzarim’s corridor, stretching from the border of Gaza-Ozrael to the Mediterranean Sea.
The Israeli forces partially withdrew from the western corridor last month, and the first Palestinians – pedestrians – were allowed to walk through the Rashid coastal street as they passed into the northern Gaza.
Those on vehicles must use Salah al-Din Street and undergo a projection for weapons where the hallway crosses.
The Sunday withdrawal from the eastern part of the corridor will leave the Israelites control over the borders of Gaza, but not the road that cut it in half.
Haaretz newspaper says the Ministry of the Interior Hamas-Run Gaza urged people to “caution and adhere to existing guidelines for their security movements.”
The withdrawal of the units is coming because the Israeli delegation is expected to fly to Qatar, which moderates conversations between the two sides in the Gaza war.
The Israeli Government has previously said that the delegation will initially discuss “technical issues” regarding the first phase of the dedication agreement, not the challenging second phase that should lead to a permanent tribute, exchanging all the remaining live hostages in Gaza for several Palestinian prisoners and the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza.
This will require a further direction from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is currently returning from the USA.
Netanyahu became the first foreign leader to meet US President Donald Trump from his return to the White House on January 20th.
During the trip, in the most dramatic move in American politics in connection with Gaza in decades, Trump called for the removal of the entire civilian population of the territory and the development of what he called the “Riviera of the Middle East”.
This proposal, which would be a crime under international law, is almost universally rejected, including the Arab states.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry announced on Saturday that he would not accept “any violation of the Palestinian Ideal Law and any attempt to dispute,” accusing Israel of “ethnic cleansing”.
Egypt also rejected any idea of removing the Palestinian population and said that on February 27, he called the Arab League’s emergency skyscraper to discuss what he called “serious” Palestinian achievements.
