IPL 2025: ‘Aap Hindustan Mein Ho …’ – Rajat Patidar ordered to turn to Bengalur media on Hindi
Former Indian cricket Mohammad Kaif ran into the media for asking questions to the new skipper Royal Challengers Bengalur (RCB) Rajat Patidar in English. He said there was a gap in communication and that the dough had to be asked in Hindi.
Royal Challengers Bengalur (RCB) recently announced a great announcement about his skipper for the next edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Rajat Patidar was announced for the new team captain, replacing Faf du Plexis, who was a team captain last year.

Rajat Patidar was preferred in front of some other Indian players, including Virat Kohli. The young dough also led Madhya Pradesh in the homemoon and led from the front. RCB would hope to replicate the same and help the team win.
Royal Challengers Bengalur (RCB) conducted a press conference to announce its new skipper. Rajat Patidar, together with the management of the franchise, addressed the media and answered all the questions ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
Patidar, however, could not properly answer because of the linguistic barrier. The royal challenge to Bengalur (RCB) Skiper was set up in English, and although he responded to everything, the communication gap was a little visible.
If a person can’t answer English, ask him to Hindi – Mohammad Kaif
Mohammad Kaif shared his acceptance of Rajat Patidar, appointed a new Captain RCB. However, he did not like the idea that the media asked questions in English.
He said the dough was not comfortable in English, and the media should have realized that, adding that one or two questions were enough to realize that he was not comfortable. Speaking in a video posted on his YouTube channel, he said:
“I want to say something. We all go through this phase. I mean. There were questions at the English press conference. I ask the media to understand me. If a person cannot answer English, ask him in the interior of Hindi. English.
“You have worked in the media for so many years. One or two questions are enough to know that he is not comfortable in English. He does not speak proper language. He is unable to communicate. I mean, they talk in English.

Mohammad Kaif spoke further about the same, pointing out that there would always be a gap in communication. He emphasized that Rajat Patidar should turn to the media, saying he would respond to Hindi. Kaif elaborate:
“We are out of UP, MP, English is not our first language. Mostly we speak Hindi. I think there will be a gap in communication. We need to understand. If a person cannot speak properly, you can ask him in his own language or you can tell him that we will initially examine in English.
“And you can answer the language you are comfortable with. You should tell the media like this. They will learn English. It will take them three to four years to learn English. They will learn English. They will speak English better.”
