Indian coach brings a shocking update about the future Jasprit Bumrah
Coach Team India Batter Sitanshu Kotak provided a key update of Jasprit Bumrah’s fitness on the eve of the second OTE series with three matches against England. Sitanshu Kotak stated that the Indian team is still not sure of fitness and recovery from a recent injury.
Bumrah suffered injuries during the Border-Gavaskar (BGT) trophy in Australia. He suffered a back injury during the first final test against Australia in Sydney. The quick bowler with his right hand was forced to miss the whole second scan, and India lost the match and the series.

Jasprit Bumrah is included in the temporary Indian 15-member Detachment for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which should start on February 19. However, his participation remains uncertain about the constant care of fitness. There was no official update of his recovery from his back injury.
The 31-year-old bowler has recently been subjected to scanning at the National Academy of Cricket (NCA) in Bengalur, but a clear weather line for his return is not provided. Initially, he was expected to play in the third Zada series against England, but he was excluded, and Harshit wounded in Odu -u Nagpur.

At a press conference before the match, Sitanshu Kotak asked about the fitness of Jasprit Bumrah. Kotak said he was not aware of the results of Bumrah scanning and added that only a doctor or physiotic doctor would know about it.
“He is not aware of Bumrah’s scanning, so it will be obvious that our doctor or physico will know about it,” Kotak said.

Kotak also discussed the potential involvement of Arshdeep Singha in the second ODO. Confirmed that Mohammed Shami was completely fit.
“Shami is absolutely in shape, it’s completely in shape, and if Arshdeep gets the opportunity, the same answer again, that main coach and captain can decide,” Kotak added.
