The matches involving India will be played in Dubai because of the hybrid model after BCCI refused to send its team to Pakistan. However, there were concerns about the matches in Dubai playing on used games due to the involvement of the stadium in various important tournaments.
Dubai recently hosted 15 IT20 League matches during January 2025, which also included key knockout nokaut matches of the tournament, including the finals. Therefore, there were concerns about the used terrain used for the champion trophy.

India to play on used games in Dubai?
The PTI report confirmed that India will play their matches on two completely fresh playgrounds that were previously reserved for the champion trophy. So, men in blue may not have to deal with slow and worse games at the International Crickket Stadium in Dubai.
Two of the ten terrain in Dubai were not used during the Ilt20 just to ensure that they remain in fresh state for Indian matches in the champion trophy. However, it is still unknown whether or not these points used in the playoffs.
“There are 10 match lanes on DICS. During the league stage, there was a special instruction that the two would not be used now and that they should have been fresh for the champion trophy,” the source quoted by the PTI.
“However, is not any of the two of them for play-offs. The idea is to ensure that it does not become low and dispute after excessive use and matches become a retreat. Fresh plots will help doughs and bowlers equally,” the source added.
The new points are likely to provide help with fast bowlers and will bounce well. As the matches continue, the playgrounds will start to turn that the Indian Spinners will introduce the game.
