Hitchins challenges the claims of Teofimo, says no offer received
Richardson Hitchins said tonight that Teofimo Lopez did not send him an offer. Reiterated that he wanted Lopez to send a contract with “Real zero” in him.
The IBF Light Welterweight Hitchins (19-0, 7 ko) unification match should be the first of three fights for WBO 140-LB champion Teofimo with Turki al-Sheikh. The other two are against Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis in October and losers or winner Ryan Garcia against Devin Haney 2 rematch.
Does Teo support?
Is it possible that Teofimo wants easier fighting than Richardson for his first contract with three fights with Al-Sheikh? Would he be willing to let Lopez take a scrub to ensure he doesn’t come down to the wrong foot with a loss? Turks usually expect the fighters on their maps to fight quality opponents; I don’t think he would be ready for the idea of confronting another Steve Claggett.
“Teofimo, I don’t know about all that bulls *** and everyone who talks on the internet, talking about how you got $ 1.3 or $ 1.5 for any fight. I don’t give AF *** None of that. What are you talking about? “Richardson Hitchins said Social mediaResponding to Theophimo Lopez, telling him to accept the offer sent to him.
“Listen, you rejected Devin Haney’s offer. You rejected $ 2.8 million for Sutriel Matias. You never saw $ 2.8 million. You’re talking about Sutriel Matias, it’s not good enough to fight you. Who are you? Pay by view you would leave three million dollars.
“You’re the only ducking. I was not sent an offer. As I said. Send a candidate. If the numbers are correct and the date and time, I am there. They are not excuses, and your father is in the background by talking all that with ***. “
No contract, no courage?
It sounds like Teo is becoming cold feet and has other thoughts about fighting Hithchins. This is similar behavior as Lopez acted with Sutriel Matias and Devin Haney. It is strange that Teofimo says he wants to fight these guys, but when they try to clash, he refuses them.
If Teofimo will not fight Hitchins, he will have to face the winner of the eliminator WBO title between Jack Catterall -a Arnold Barboza Jr., which would be the fight for Teo’s belt. It is doubtful that Teofimo would like to fight the unification with the WBA champion Jose ‘Ray’ Valenzuel or the WBC champion Albert Puell because it would be difficult struggles he could lose.
“Stop pronounced my name. Stop going on the internet, talk all that with ***. Richardson Hitchinson is the only name in 140 at the moment that makes sense. So, as I said, when they send that offer, make sure it is a real zero, and I’m there. That’s all I have to say.
“I never bent down the smoke. It wasn’t my contract or nothing was sent to me. What are you talking about?” Hitchins Teofimo said.
