Hamas says he doesn’t talk about interrupting the fire unless Israel release prisoners

Hamas says that conversations with Israel on further steps in the Agreement for the termination of fire in Gaza are conditioned to release Palestinian prisoners as agreed.

Israel said on Sunday that delaying the release of more than 600 Palestinians in exchange for six living and four dead hostages who were liberated, accusing Hamas of repeated violations, including “degrading” handover ceremonies.

The Hamas’ senior official said that the decision exposed the entire agreement of “serious danger” and called for the mediators, especially the US, to press Israel.

The first phase of the contract and the temporary six weeks of the truce will expire on Saturday, but indirect negotiations in the second phase and the end of the war have not yet begun.

Secretary -General UN -A António Guterres warned that the truce was “insecure” and that the continuation of hostilities must be avoided at all costs.

He also called for “a dignified edition of all the remaining hostages.”

On Saturday – the beginning of the sixth and last week of the first phase of the trial agreement – Hamas published six living Israeli hostages.

As with many previous handover, five took them on stage next to armed fighters before they were transferred to the Red Cross and then taken to Israel.

Later, Hamas posted a video of two hostages in the vehicle watching one of the handover ceremonies and seemed to pray with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to pull them out. The forum representing the hostage family condemned the video as a “sick representation of cruelty”.

There was already anger in Israel after Hamas had returned the bodies of four hostages earlier in the week, including those Shiri Bibas and her two young son Ariel and Kfir, who were abducted during the attack on October 7, 2023.
