Former Panthers Cam Newton star refuses to withdraw from the ‘Sconer of Loassers’ comment
Cam Newton, who spent most of his 11-year NFL career with Carolina PanthersHe does not give up on the recent criticism of his former teammates.
Newton was the first overall choice of NFL from 2011 and said that when he arrived at Carolin, he entered the “loser” locker room.
The 2015 NFL MVP admitted that his remarks were “aggressive”, but remained unwavering in his position that they were “true”.

A few hours later, Smith posted: “I watched and listened to from far that in @cameronnewton talked about @panthers! None of us is perfect. Yes, we were 2-14 before you blessed us in ur presence. The way in Which you have talked to @panthers lately, I’m disappointed to you.
Smith played for Panthers from 2001-13 and is the most productive receiver to carry the Panthers uniform. He is also a finalist for 2025. Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Newton said that “he was not a quarrel” with Smith and he understood why he had problems with remarks. Newton explained that he referenced Panther performance as a whole, not individual players when he gave original comments.
“I’m not talking about these guys especially,” Newton said. “I’m talking about a culture that was there before I got into the locker room. And that was a loser mentality.”

Newton said the panthers still had their first two seasons when they left 6-10 and 7-9.
