He became the main coach of Buffalo Bills in 2006, the role he held until 2009. Next season, Jauron was named the coach of the defense back Philadelphia Eagles under Andy Reid.

Jauron was two stars on Yale in the early 1970s, and was also drawn by Detroit Lions in NFL Draft and St. Louis Cardinals in the amateur draft of the Major League baseball. In the end, football made its lifelong quest, starting with five seasons as a defensive return to Detroit and three more with Cincinnati Bengals before retirement in 1980.

Jauron loved training well, and five years later they hired Bills as a defense back coach. He continued to train his defensive backs at Green Bay and befriended Reid, who was an assistant offensive line and a narrow area coach.
Jauron had only one winning record in five seasons with the bears, winning the NFC North 2001, before he lost to eagle – and then trained Reid – in the Divisional P play Circle.
He finished with a record of 60-82 and one playoffs across parts of 10 seasons as the main coach.

Jauron’s death came just two days after the bears announced death Virginia Halas McCaskeywho inherited the franchise from her father, George Halas and spent four more decades as the chief owner.
