The food and medication administration classified the recall of 60 different products with donuts at the second highest level, announced the Agency earlier this week in updating its website.
The recall was first announced on January 7th, but the FDA classified it as “Class II recall” 5 February.
The withdrawn products were manufactured by FGF Brands, and were sold in stores in the United States and Canada, according to the FDA -EO Reckon report. Total recall is more than 2 million cases donutsFritters, Paczki, Eclairs and Munchkins.

All products were manufactured before December 13, 2024 and “are within the expiration,” the FDA implementation report says.

“It is estimated that 1,600 people get listeriosis each year, and about 260 dies,” CDC said.
Those who have the biggest risk of the list are “pregnant women and their newborns, adults at the age of 65, and people with a weakened immune system,” said the agency. Other groups of “rarely become seriously ill” when they are exposed to leaflets, CDC noted.

The unborn newborns are at a special risk of listing, CDC said.
“The infection during pregnancy results in the loss of fetus in about 20% of cases and the death of newborns in about 3% of cases,” the agency said.
