European reinforced leaders have praised the influence of the tumultuous first weeks of US President Donald Trump in power, because they stated that the EU must repeat its policies to protect its future.
At the “Make Europe Great” rally in Madrid on Saturday, the leaders, including Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and Deputy Prime Minister Italy Matteo Salvini, said Trump’s energy policy, immigration and gender confirmed their recipes for the EU.
“Trump Tornado has changed the world in just a few weeks,” Orbán said at a gathering of about 2,000 people. “We were heretics yesterday, today we are mainstream.”
The rally followed less than three weeks after Trump took the post for a second term, and while the extreme right parties in Europe drove high to the EU elections last year, when they achieved their best effect ever.
Marine Le Pen, leader of the French National Party Rassemblement, said that from Trump’s victory, the world has accelerated history. “We face a real turning point,” she said, adding that “the EU seems to be fascinated.”
The leaders opposed the “uncontrolled” immigration and called for the EU to the EU for pure energy, which they said was damaging the block economy. They also attacked politics “awakened” in gender and celebrated Trump’s statement that they would now recognize only two sexes.
Geert Wilders of the Dutch Party for Freedom said: “We refuse to bend the extremist agent of an awakened left. And we refuse to surrender to the guilt that stumbled for multiculturalism. “
“People across Europe want us to restore reason and moral clarity,” He added.
Santiago Abascal, the leader of the Spanish Far Right Party Vox, hosted the event.
None of the leaders mentioned the two Trump moves that are in Europe sources of great concern: its threat to impose tariffs to the European Rob for rebalancing a trade deficit, who called the “Crime” and his plan to expel millions of Palestinians from Gaza.
They also avoided the reference at Trump’s request for Europe to spend more on their own defense to reduce its reliance on the US.
Several leaders spoke positively about the Spanish “re -state” of the Spanish parts under the control of Muslims by Christian rulers in the Middle Ages, and Orbán said it was an example of a spirit of Europe that is needed today.
