Emery on ‘exciting’ Rashford, Watkins Fitness for Spurs Game and Snubs League League League League
Aston Villa Unai Emery is looking forward to the “exciting” challenge of helping in January signature Marcus Rashford back to its previous heights.
Rashford joined the Villa on loan from Manchester United by the end of the season in the last days of the January window after fell out of affection under the chief of the Red Devils Ruban Amorim.
The 27-year-old has not introduced himself to United since the beginning of December, and he has questioned the dedication to the attacker before moving to another city.
But his new manager Emery says he is “very happy” with the English international and says he wants to release him again.
“I’m very pleased with him,” Emery said.
“The conversation we led was very normal, talking about football and what I wanted from him.
“I think his potential is still big. I don’t want to know the reason why he leaves Manchester United.
“I’m very happy to have him here to try to help him regain my performances.
“My challenge with him is a huge challenge. His challenge is also a very exciting challenge for us. I’m very happy. “

Rashford could make his debut in the villa when they face Tottenham on Sunday in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
The United Loan could even be handed to the start up front after Emery found that the Ollie Watkins striker would miss the game at the Villa Park, joining four more absences aside.
“We will work tomorrow, but at the beginning we are out, which are not available for Sunday, Tyrone Mings and Pau Torres, Cash, Ross Barkley and Watkins,” the Spaniard said.
Speaking especially on Watkins, he added: “He is important for him every day, how he feels, but for Sunday I think he will not be available because he has not trained today.
“Tomorrow, I don’t think he will train him, because it will take more days to recover.
“I hope it will be available for next week.”
Snubs Champions League
