President Donald Trump said he would announce a 25% import tax on all steel and aluminum that enters the US, which will have a move that will have the biggest impact in Canada.

“If they charge us, we charge them,” Trump said.

Canada and Mexico are two of the largest American trading partners, and Canada is the largest supplier of aluminum metal in the US.
During his first term, Trump put a 25% tariff on steel imports and 10% on the import of aluminum from Canada, Mexico and the European Union.
