Dodgers Dustin can talk about undergoing an emergency surgery on esophagus

Los Angeles Dodgers Pitcher Dustin May was on his return from the injury, hoping he would join the team to help them win the world series in July 2024.
May 27 rehabilitated from the Flexor tendon and Tommy John Audit surgery, with a chance to return late in the season.

While May was still rehabilitated at Dodgers’s Camelback ranch, he ordered a salad for dinner.
May took a bite and felt the salad stuck in his throat. He tried to wash him with some water, but he knew something was wrong.
15 minutes that was “mega-painful,” May said La TimesTalking about the incident public for the first time last week. The pain was in the throat and abdomen.
It turns out that May has unconsciously suffered a serious tear in her esophagus. He later learned that his salad had run into his throat perforated his esophagus, something that was very unusual.
Once the pain has worn out, May thought it would be good.
“I’m not a big panicker,” he said. “Somehow it cooled. So, I said,” I’m fine. I don’t need to do anything. “

Millie, Maya’s wife, was not the same thought as Dustin.
“No,” May recalled. “Let’s go to an ambulance to check it.”
After the CT scan revealed the significance of a tear in the May esophagus, the doctors immediately rushed to surgery.
“It was extremely frustrating. You can’t plan it. You can’t try to prevent it. That happened,” May said.
“It wasn’t on my bingo card for 2024.”
The surgery, described by May May as “basically a full abdominal surgery,” left a jug with a long lower chest to her abdomen.

May has moved from part of Dodger’s staff who have dealt with a series of difficulties, to the understanding of how fragile life is.
“Simply gives me a different view of many things in life. Just watching that something like that can’t be associated with a non-Baseball-this can be gone in a second. And the things he spent my wife, I definitely gave me (feeling) : “Wow, things can change that way.”
“It was definitely an event that changed life. He was definitely very serious. It’s not a common surgery. It was definitely an emergency.”
May’s procedure Tommy John was the second time he had suffered elbow repair, as he underwent surgery in 2021.
May put in 191.2 in the big leagues. He was effective when healthy, because he has a 3,10 era with 174 blows when he is on a pile for Dodgers.
The Dodger rotation is full of ACES, which does not guarantee that it may be in the initial rotation even though it is healthy again.

Nonetheless, May is excited that she was finally healthy and capable of competing again.
“I’m definitely excited and I definitely have a deeper gratitude for the game.”
