Dallas’s police will not join raids to deport ice, the temporary boss tells the immigrants meetings

“The Dallas Police Directorate does not help any federal agency on custody of people who are either documented or unfathomable in the City of Dallas,” IGO told the participants in the International Church of Familia Bethel in Dallas, Perbs News.
IGO, who has been a temporary police chief since October, told parishioners who speak Spanish that his department will not be involved or reported to anyone here illegally Who calls 911 to help or attracted for traffic offenses.
“I need to continue calling you police, not to be afraid to get out of your homes to go to work, to send our children to school,” IGO said.
He also assured the parishioners that arrests or raids would not be carried out in churches, schools or hospitals, although he said immigrants with extraordinary chase would probably face the deportation.

He took Igo last night to X to convey his message that DPD would not work with federal immigration officials.
“There is no place for fear in our community,” IGO wrote on X. “I meet with stakeholders across Dallas to convince them that we are here to serve and protect all the inhabitants of Dallas and are dedicated to the implementation of the city regulations and state laws.”
This is not the first time IGO has made public remarks that would seem to be contrary to Trump’s administration.

At the end of last month, IGO, he posted a video of X, saying that all residents would be treated the same regardless of their immigration status.
The latest IgA comments come as a newly minted State Attorney Pam Bondi Trump filed a lawsuit on Wednesday Against the state of New York and her governor, Kathy Hochul and the Lawyer Letituia James, stating that the Federal Law of Protection of Ilegal Immigrants was not reserved.
