In short, the Indian Premier League Council on Sunday (February 16th) announced a schedule for the 2025 edition of the league. The IPL 2025 is ready to start on March 22, and the defenders of the Kolkat champion Knight Riders (KKR) took over Royal Challengers Bengalur (RCB) at the tournament opener.
The first game of the Indian Premier League 2025 will be played in Eden gardens in Kalcuta. On the second day of the tournament, two matches will be played, with runners last year Sunrizes Hyderabad in an action in the afternoon against the winner of the League inaugural edition in Rajasthan Royals at the International Stadium Rajiv Gandhi in Hyderabad.
CSK VS MI MATCH which will be held on March 23 at the Ma Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai
The evening game will see the two most successful IPL franchises, Mumbaj Indians and Chennai Super Kings, which take each other at the Ma Chimambaram stadium in Chennai. CSK VS Mi Match will also see the return of MS Dhoni after a year. The advocacy strength will be played on April 20 at the Wankhede Stadium.
A total of 13 places will host IPL 2025. The places are Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengalur, Lucknow, Mullanpur, Delhi, Jaipur Kolkat and Hyderabad, Guwahati (second place for RR), Dharam (Second Venus and Vizag (second place for DC) .
IPL 2025 playoffs will be played from May 20 to May 25
For the first time in very long, Punjab Kings will play three of their home games in Dharamsa. In previous years, PBKS played only two games in the season in a picturesque place in Himachal Pradesh. The rest of their four remaining games will be played in Mullandpur in Punjab.
IPL 2025 playoffs will be played at the International Stadium Rajiv Gandhi in Hyderabad and Eden Gardens in Calcutta. While qualifier 1 and the eliminator will take place at Hyderabad 20 and 21 May, respectively, Qualifier 2, together with the finals, should be held in Eden gardens in Calcutta 23 and 25 May.
