Claress Shields suspended Michigan unarmed combat committee and under investigation is positive for marijuana after testing.
The 29-year-old three-time world champion returned the positive “Oral fluid pattern” for the banned substance after winning Danielle Perkins on February 3 in Michigan.
Marijuana is forbidden to competition by the World Anti -Doping Agency (WADA).
WBO, who is sanctioned by the body and has no power to suspend boxer, asked the Shields “Notification of the show”, asking her to explain herself, while the Michigan Commission opened his own investigation into a disciplinary action.
“Mrs. Shields’ behavior as a licensed professional boxer is a direct threat to the integrity of professional boxing, public interest and well -being and safety of professional athletes,” said the Michigan Commission.
