Catholics pray for the sick Pope Francis to Sunday Mass
Roman Catholics around the world prayed for Pope Francis, who was hospitalized in critical stateAt Mass on Sunday after the Vatican announced that it was “not out of danger.”
The 88-year-old PontiF entered the hospital on February 14th with an infection that developed into pneumonia in both lungs. He had a long “asthmatic respiratory crisis” on Saturday, which required “high oxygen and blood transfusion, the Vatican said.
Francis is a spiritual leader nearly 1.4 billion Roman Catholics around the world since 2013. And around the world, prayers are for his recovery.
At the Myeongdong Cathedral in Seulu, Pat Santos, a tourist from the Philippines, he described the Pope as a “symbol of Christianity”.
“Pneumonia is a serious illness for my age, so we should worry,” said Mr. Santos, 31, who visited South Korea with his family. “Let him recover well so he can enjoy retirement.”
