Auburn baseball star Cade Belye crushed the 1st Home Season for hours after his mother’s death


Auburn Tigers Outfielder Cade Belye opened the season 2025. With a big heart and a huge emotional pressure on his shoulders while the team played the crossroads of the Holy Cross.

Belye hit a solo home race in the sixth inning against Holy Cross. It was Belye and Tigers the first home in the season. He turned out to have played more than just winning an early season.

Mother second year, Staci, died after the battle with breast cancer A few hours earlier. Chief coach Auburn Butch Thompson said the team tries to figure out what to do if Belye goes the night to collect his thoughts.

“He said to Staci he wanted to play,” Thompson said Montgomery advertiser. “I think it was the most inspirational thing we’ve ever seen. Our crowd is just amazing. They absolutely felt and knew what was happening to him. … The inspiration of Cade Belye.”

Auburn won 4-1. The Tigers eventually finished the series, taking two of three from Holy Cross.

Belye was 6-o-12 on the Crusader board over the weekend. He hit his lonely race and had two RBI in the victory of the series. He also had five stolen bases.

Auburn returned to action against Troy on Tuesday.

Auburn ended 27-26 last season and was 8-22 Securers. The team did not make postseason.
