Arteta invites Arsenal to ‘focus on what’s in our hands’ after a pronounced victory over Manchester City
Arsenal chief Mikel Arteta says his side has to focus on what’s in their hands after a “great day” that beaten Manchester City.
Gunners split the Premier League champion, scoring four goals in the second half to take revenge on the fiery draw in Etihad earlier in the season.
Young Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri rifles were both tired, sending the audience of North London to anger.
While Artete was obviously pleased with the result, he admitted that Arsenal had to be focused if he wanted to win the Premier League title.
He said, “It’s a great day. Considering the opposition we played, the result we got and the way we did. It makes it a special day.
“Many things have to go its own way.
“They are so good that they are forcing you to be deeper and to be in a situation where you do not want to be. Sometimes you need a little luck and after that you have to be effective. We had to be brave and it paid off.
“So it’s possible?”

“Things have to go their own way and the line is so thin. I liked that the team showed a lot of personality and competitiveness.
“We need to continue to do things we can control. Today we were a difficult game and we were able to do it. “
Captain Martin Odegaard reached the home side opener and was a constant threat to the artillery in the middle of the field.
He was delighted how his teammates pressed and eventually controlled the game.
He added: “It was a top game and a top -notch result. The atmosphere was amazing and we all enjoyed it.
“We were awarded with a high print, we won the ball and scored the goal. The second half was scored, but the way we reacted was great. Then, after that, it was amazing what we did.
“There is a lot of pressure in this game, but we played a great game. We know we can beat any team today we still showed it.”
