Ange postecoglou insisted that he is convinced that Mathys Tel will permanently join Tottenhammu Hotspur at the end of his loan from Bayern Munich.
The Spurs worked hard to convince the tel to make that shift on the day of the deadline, with Postecoglou himself entered to convince the young Frenchman to join on a a contract that includes an option for permanent transfer in the summer.
In Postecoglou’s eyes, however, the tel is already wrapped as a long -term signature.
“He will play a significant role in our end of the season for sure and beyond,” Postecoglou said. “He wants to influence and I expect to do so.
“It will be Tottenham player. I think they will show everyone that they will be a Tottenham player in the next six months. I haven’t brought him here for six months. “
The TEL Labor switch to Tottenham came a few days after declining the constant access to the club, but Postecoglou insisted that the 19-year-old was right to need more information about such a significant move.
“It’s a simplified way of looking at it,” the boss continued. “People need to understand that you are talking about a 19-year-old player who has to make a big decision about his career.
“Not so much that he rejected us or anyone else. He is right, so he got as much information as possible. More than anything I think he just wanted to be comfortable with a decision. The feeling I got was that he didn’t want to be pushed in a certain direction.
“I had a conversation with him, and my purely playing football. I think he will find a really great place for him in the sense where he is in his career. He obviously wants to play and we have already shown that this is no matter what the age I will get here.
“At the same time, I think it was right to take as long as he did it and he was completely comfortable with that.”
Former Spurs favorite Harry Kane, who played with Tel in Bayern, supported a teenager to enjoy a successful magic at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
