Novak Djokovic says his partnership with coach Andy Murray will continue “indefinitely” while the two are preparing together for work in North American swing and the European season of Clay.
Murray trained Djokovic at the Australian Open in January, where the latter beat Carlos Alcaraz to reach the semifinals before receiving with his leg injury while he had lowered Alexander Zverev.
The 24-year-old Grand Slam champion said after the fact that he and Murray “would” cool down “, but in front of his return to Qatar Masters, Djokovic confirmed that the couple would be reconnected.
Murray is now ready to work with Serbs in the Indians of Wells and Miami in March, and then during the part of the year in the city, culminating at the French Open from May 25 to June 8.
Djokovic said to the internal media channel ATP Tour: “We talked the day after I finished [the Australian Open] – We thought about the period we spent together.
“We agreed that he would take a while and think, talk to his family members and see if he decided to continue working.
“I expressed my desire to continue working with him, so I’m really glad he accepted it.
“It is vague in a sense how long we will work together, but we have agreed most likely in the United States and some tournaments in the clay ground. We will see how it goes after that.”

Asked if he learned from the players who had won him 14 times during his career – including two Grand Slams finals – and only withdrew last year, Djokovic added: “Yes, to some extent.
“Obviously he has a unique perspective of my game. He played me and all the current best players in the world and knows everything well.
“He knows exactly what we need to do tactically – the evolution of my game and what to improve.
“He has a positive approach and has done very well with the whole pressure because it is a completely different situation than being there as a player.
“He was great with all the other team members and although it was an unhappy way that Australian Open ended up with an injury, we had a great race.”
