A woman accused of testing cocaine quality for Mexico cartel is faced with the US charges
A 60-year-old Mexico woman who was allegedly responsible for testing the quality of cocaine quality that was intended for the United States, was filed before the Georgia judge for federal charges, according to the authorities.
Irma Elvira Cruz, who is also known as “Huzipol” and “Madre”, was extradited from Mexico to face accusations, US law office, northern District of Georgia, said in a statement Tuesday.
Cruz was allegedly responsible for testing the “Great Cocaine Shipment” quality that went to Atlanta. She was also allegedly conspiring with people in Mexico, Colombia, Guatemala “and elsewhere” to coordinate cocaine transportation from Colombia for distribution in the United States -Mexico, according to a statement.
Citing the acting of US lawyer Moultrie, JR., as well as allegations and other information presented in court, the news attached to Cruz said that he was identified as an associate of drug trafficking organization in Mexico that a large amount of cocaine from Colombia had imported a large amount of cocaine in Mexico between 2013 and 2016.
In September 2015, Cruz allegedly traveled to the home house of the organization in Kostarika to test the cleanliness of cocaine that was attached to Atlanta. Costa Rica officials stopped vehicles that governed Cruz’s alleged associates. They seized about 220 pounds of cocaine and 487 pounds from the stock house, the statement said.
Cruza accused the federal large jury on February 14, 2017, was extradited to the United States and was contracted before the federal judge. Cruz faces federal accusations of conspiracy of illegally importing cocaine into the United States and possession of cocaine with the intention of distribution. The Ministry of Justice did not indicate a possible sentence for charges.
“Cruz allegedly played a critical role in the stores of hundreds of pounds of cocaine in the United States,” said acting lawyer Richard S. Moultrie, ml. “Cruz’s extradition from Mexico is an important step in responsibility for her alleged role in bringing dangerous states and our local countries, our local communities. Partners for their cooperation in helping Cruz lead to justice.”
