The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has revealed the schedule for the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025. The third season will begin on February 14 with the opening match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Giants and conclude with the title match on March 15 in Mumbai.
WPL 2025 will be hosted in four cities: Baroda, Bengaluru, Lucknow and Mumbai. The home-and-away format has not been set, but the league has expanded its reach compared to previous editions. Namely, the first match will be played in Vadodara, which will host six matches before the action moves to Bengaluru.
Mumbai will host the WPL 2025 final on March 15
Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium, which hosted the first half of the second season, will host eight matches in the season. The tournament will then shift to Lucknow for four matches. The final stage, including the last two league matches, the eliminator and the final, will be held in Mumbai.
Mumbai’s Brabourne Stadium, which hosted the inaugural WPL final, will also host key matches of the WPL season 2025. The league phase concludes on March 11 with a match between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The eliminator is scheduled for March 13, followed by the finals on March 15.
The WPL 2025 playoffs follow the same format as previous seasons, with the best team directly qualifying for the finals. The second and third place teams will compete in an Eliminator for a place in the grand finals scheduled for March 15. All matches in the tournament will be singles.
