Wife of Vikings head coach says she was ‘taunted, touched and called names’ during game against Lions
Whitney Risner, wife Minnesota Vikings offensive lineman Dalton Risner, spoke out about the behavior of Detroit Lions fans at Ford Field ahead of their Sunday night game.
Risner did a “get ready with me” video showing off her outfit before heading to a key NFC North matchup between the two teams. She said when the two teams played last year in Detroitshe didn’t realize how much throwing there would be.

“I wore a bright purple jacket last year and I’ve never been teased so much at an away game,” she said. in the video.
She added more context about Sunday night’s game on screen.
“Little did I know that Detroit fans (simply because I’m a Vikings fan) would curse, touch and call me names at last night’s game.
Taylor Saunders, the girlfriend of Vikings linebacker Blake Cashman, also claimed fans “wished injury on opposing players” in response to a social media comment praising Lions fans.

The crowd was wild at both games at Ford Field – 2023 and Sunday night. Detroit fans gave their team full support on their way to the playoffs.
This season, the Lions will enter the playoffs with the No. 1 seed. They will have home court advantage through the NFC playoffs with dreams of Super Bowl appearance.
It is the first time since the 1950s that the Lions have won back-to-back division titles. The team never made it to the Super Bowl.

They could face the Vikings again in the playoffs. Minnesota put together an incredible season behind Sam Darnold, finishing just behind Detroit in the division.
