Why we must fight for the rights of girls

For the first show in 2025, we focus on that often forgotten question; girls’ rights. Our team in Pakistan reports on how climate change is resulting in an increase in child marriage in the country. We also go to Senegal, where the case of a nine-year-old girl, pregnant after being raped by her Koran teacher, has sparked outrage, especially from human rights groups. Additionally, Annette Young talks to Memory Band, a girls’ rights activist in Malawi, about how to engage communities in strengthening and protecting girls’ rights.
