West Bromwich Albion will be praying that the star is not tempted to leave this January.

Another manager who has been linked with the job is Blackburn Rover Ivan Eustahi. Eustace has done an incredible job at Ewood Park since arriving towards the end of last season. He has taken Rovers from a side struggling at the bottom of the table to one now challenging for a place in this season’s play-offs. Liverpool coach Johnny Heitinga is another option for the Baggiesas he is heavily linked with the role and is reportedly admired by the club’s hierarchy.

Swansea City manager Luke Williams is also another manager mentioned as a candidate to replace Corberan. However, there has been an update to that capability and it is claimed West Brom do not see Williams as an option to become their new managerdespite the impressive work he did at Swansea City.

While the Baggies continue their search for a new manager, the club’s hierarchy also have plans to improve the playing squad, as according to reliable journalist Alan Nixon via Ibrox News, West Brom are in the race to sign Adam Devine from the Rangers this month.

Devine came through Rangers’ academy, breaking into the first team during the 2022/23 season. However, he has since struggled to be a regular in the team and spent the second half of last season on loan at Motherwell. The 21-year-old is out of contract at the end of this campaign, but a move could happen this month.

West Brom are reported to be looking to add to their squad this month despite not having a manager yet, and are interested in Devine. The Midlands side could sign Devine, who is a right-back, for a “bagatel”, due to the fact that he is out of contract in the summer. It may be difficult for Devine to become a starter in the West Brom team, with Darnell Furlong playing very well and regarded as one of the best right-backs in the division, but he would provide much-needed competition.

It was former manager Michael Beale who gave Devine a chance at Rangers, labeling the defender as “fantastic” after impressing during his reign. Speaking after the win over Hibernian in his first game in charge of Rangers, Beale said: “Delighted with Adam, obviously he played to his weak side.

“It was targeted from goal kicks; for a young guy, he did fantastic. This season he was supposed to be Tavernier’s back-up and push him – as Patterson did.

“We have high hopes for him, and that was not easy tonight. I asked him to play more on the field; more energy. To all watching, he is a young Scot to be proud of. Early, but for tonight, you played well son.”
