Vinicius Junior talks about his Real Madrid future after scoring an important goal

Vinicius Junior responded to speculation over his future at Real Madrid after another inspired performance in the Champions League in which he scored a century of goals for the club.

The Brazilian tormented Salzburg during Madrid’s 5-1 win in the Champions League on Wednesday night, scoring two sensational goals and securing the man of the match award after a breathless performance.

Vinicius now has 15 goals and nine assists this season and continues to shine for Los Blancos and is unquestionable one of the best strikers in world football. His recent bout took his tally to 101 goals against the reigning European and Spanish champions.

However, with the January transfer window in full swing, reports have emerged linking the 24-year-old with a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu in the near future, The Saudi professional league is still desperate to sign the 2024 Ballon d’Or runner-up..

The cash offer from the Middle Eastern clubs would be huge, but Vinicius reiterated his commitment to Madrid after Wednesday night’s defeat.

“My future? Real Madrid!” Vinicius said after the whistle.

“101 goals with my dream club. I came as a child and the possibility to enter the history of this club makes me the happiest person in the world. Thanks to all my friends for helping me reach this number. Hala Madrid!”

Surprisingly critical of his own performance against Salzburg, the winger added: “I felt I didn’t have a good first half, with that booking ruling me out of the next game.

“I think Rodrygo and [Jude] And Bellingham deserved the MVP. I’m happy with the win and the goals, even though I played badly.”

The win against the Austrian side moved Madrid up to 16th place Champions League standingsensuring them at least a place in the play-off round of the competition.

The defending champions could still reach the top eight which would see them automatically qualify for the last 16, but they would almost certainly need to beat Brest in their final league stage match and hope other results go their way.
