Jemimah reflects on the long-awaited century and the team’s focus on execution

Jemimah expressed her delight after scoring her long-awaited century, stressing the importance of fulfilling her role at number four and staying at the crease until 50. She emphasized her focus on batting through the innings, knowing she could step up when needed, and credited Harleen’s support and their key partnership for her success. Jemimah also highlighted the team’s professionalism, stressing the need to execute their bowling plans effectively, as they discussed the challenges of defending high totals based on recent domestic matches.

“This means a lot. This hundred was long awaited. More than anything, I’m glad that the team gave me the role of number four and that I was able to live up to it. Today, the most important thing for me was to be there until the age of 50. I know I can speed up at any moment, I have that game. But it was important for me to stay there. As I was doing this, Harleen was telling me “just keep playing, keep playing”. She also took the lead in the interim – that really helped me,” Rodrigues said in the middle of the inning.
