The administration of US President Donald Trump has dismissed more than a dozen lawyers of the Ministry of Justice who worked against him on two criminal cases.

They were discharged after the acting prosecutor James Mchenry concluded that “they could not believe that they were faithfully spending the president’s age because of their significant role in processing the President,” said BBC Department of the CBS News partner.

The lawyers were part of the team of former special lawyer Jack Smith, who explored Trump’s allegedly misinterpretation with classified documents and his alleged attempt to undo his defeat of the 2020 election.

“The release of the plaintiff because of the cases where they are assigned to work is just unacceptable,” former US lawyer Joyce Vance told NBC News. “It is anti-shelter; it is anti-democracy.”

The release is followed by a large diverting of some of the best officials of the Ministry of Justice with expertise in a wide range of areas, including national safety and corruption of the public. On Monday, one of them, head of the public integrity department, allegedly resigned.

Trump and his team accused the Ministry of Justice of dealing with politically motivated cases against him, his associates and Republicans. Trump advocated for the direct overhaul of the department, which he says is “weapon” against him, while the campaign for the re -election.

His candidate to run the Ministry of Justice, Pam Bondi, reiterated Trump’s view that federal persecution against him were political persecutionsaying that the department was “weapon for years and years and years.”

Mr. Smith publicly defended his work. In a letter that followed the final draft of his report on Trump’s actions after the 2020 election, he wrote: ” [Trump] That it was influenced by my decision as a prosecutor or directed by Biden or other political actors, in a word, he was smiling. “
