The US considers to send Israel 24,000 assault smoking
Trump’s administration is considering sending 24,000 assault rifles in Israel, which was held in the State Department at the behest of Antoni J. Blinkan, a former Secretary of State, said an American official.
Mr. Blinkan asked State Department not to move forward with the fulfillment of Israel, which contains three tranches worth a total of $ 34 million. This happened after democratic legislators caused concern that rifles could end up in the hands of settlers’ militia or that Israeli police would use them in acts of unjustified violence against the Palestinians on the west coast.
State Department did not answer the question sent to E -on Friday about the possibility of moving forward with the order. The Israeli Embassy said earlier that she had been dealing with questions set by US officials on the sale of weapons.
Israel buys more than three quarters of rifles waiting from Colt’s production.
The MPs became aware of the weapon order after the State Department gave an informal notice of sale of two congress committees several weeks after the Hamas attacks in Israel in October 2023 lit the fierce strikes of the Israeli army in Gaza. Reported the New York Times that the command has encouraged the concern of the legislators and some of the State Department officials.
At that time, Itar Ben-Gvir, the ultimate right-wing Israeli politician, was a national security minister. He supported the spread of settlements on the west coast and annexation of the Palestinian territory that occupied Israel. Some democratic legislators were concerned that his police forces would use US weapons to support immigrants engaged in violence against Palestinians, which has become more and more often in recent years, or to perform violence.
Mr. Ben-Gvir said in October 2023 that he would give a weapon to settlement and create civil militia for the protection of immigrants.
When asked about concern about how to use rifles, a state department official said the weapon would only go to “INP control units”, referring to the Israeli national police. But the clerk, Jessica Lewis, who runs the office in charge of the transfer of weapons, did not define such units.
Mr. Ben-Gvir and his party recently left the government to protest against the new series of Israeli-Palestinian replacements of prisoners.
In December 2023, democratic legislators have informally approved a rifle order provided that Israel provides appropriate guarantees for their use, said an American official, who spoke about the state of anonymity to discuss the sensitive commands of the weapon. The MPs then continued to express the concern to Mr. Blinkan, who eventually ordered the rifles to be held.
The Bidana Administration has rarely rejected the demands for weapons from Israel, a policy that led to the widespread criticisms of Democrats, as bombing bombing devastated Gaza. President Trump hinted that he would still support Israel.
On January 24th, the White House told Pentagon that he could send a large shipment of 2,000 pounds to Israel that Mr. Biden held Israel from descending difficult commands in the Palestinian city of Rafah last summer, which he did. US military officials believe that the 2000 kilograms bombs are too destructive to be used in the urban war.
Mike Huckabee, the selection of Mr. Trump as the next ambassador to Israel, said that all the Western coast belongs to Israel and that “there really is no Palestinian.”
