Pinto said that some of the details of the proposal are still elaborated, including where student phones will be stored during the day and who will implement politics.
School officials would probably have flexibility to establish methods where phones would be kept, such as safe warehouses or locked magnetic bags. Pinto said she did not want the burden of the prohibition on the teachers.
The proposal also aims to force students to socialize more between teaching, instead of moving on their phones, for which Pinto told Axios “an equally important part of human development at a young age.”
