Introducing AirJet
Govy’s flagship aircraft, called the AirJet, is a revolutionary flying car with composite wings designed to operate as air taxi for distances up to 124 miles. This innovative vehicle combines the efficiency of a fixed-wing aircraft with the flexibility of a multi-rotor system, enabling vertical take-off and landing.
The AirJet is constructed from over 90% carbon fiber composite materials, making it incredibly light – only one-third the weight of a conventional car of a similar size. This lightweight design not only improves performance, but also allows for longer electric flights.

In terms of performance, the AirJet is powered by GAC’s proprietary electric propulsion system, which allows it to reach impressive speeds of up to 255 miles per hour. The current model boasts a range of more than 124 miles, with ambitious plans to extend that range to 249 miles through the development of future solid-state battery technology. Additionally, the AirJet can be recharged in just 30 minutes, ensuring a quick uptime.

The AirJet was designed with both luxury and safety in mind. It features a spacious cabin with a “1+1+X” seating arrangement that gives passengers flexibility. The aircraft is equipped with autonomous flight capabilities, which enables flawless operation without human intervention. Safety is paramount in AirJet design. It includes advanced safety systems such as redundant power and control systems, real-time monitoring and obstacle detection to ensure safe flights.

Robo-air taxi system
GAC’s vision goes beyond individual aircraft to encompass a comprehensive Robo-AirTaxi system that integrates ground and air transportation for end-to-end smart mobility solutions. This system will use the Govy AirCar for short city trips of less than 12.4 miles and the AirJet for medium-haul trips of up to 124 miles. A key aspect of this vision is the creation of a “40-minute life circle of the Greater Bay Area” in China, which aims to facilitate efficient intercity travel and significantly reduce transportation time and costs.

Future plans and commercialization
Looking ahead, GAC has mapped out an ambitious plan for Govy. By 2025, the company aims to achieve airworthiness certification for its flying cars, establish production lines and start taking pre-orders from customers. Furthermore, GAC plans to launch demonstration operations in two to three Chinese cities in the Greater Bay Area by 2027.
