Many users agreed with Bateman’s assessment of the royal family, applauding her honesty. Others praised the couple for their philanthropy.
Bateman continued her tirade against California officials and their handling of the wildfires. Speaking to Jesse Watters on Friday, Bateman, who lives in the Hollywood Hills, said she was “quite taken aback” by the state of her city. “If you’re going to lead a city or a country, you have to take care of the basics. And that’s it [to] make sure that your fire and police departments[s] they are well funded.”
“If you don’t do everything you can to solve those problems if they arise, then you’re lost. You’re useless to us,” she said.

A representative for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
According to the Californian Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, there are three active fires burning in Los Angeles: Palisades Fire (11% contained), the Eaton Fire (27% contained) and the Hurst Fire (89% contained). More than 12,300 buildings were destroyed.
As of Sunday afternoon, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office reported 16 deaths in the fires.
