Ted Danson’s wife Mary Steenburgen shares hilarious details about their sex life
Mary Steenburgen doesn’t hold back.
Explaining how she was mistaken in the impression that her husband, Ted Dansonbefore they met, he was a bit of a ladies’ man, the “Book Club” actress revealed detailing their sex life.
“I admired him so much as an actor, but I didn’t know him personally and I had this stupid idea that he was, like, maybe kind of a smooth guy,” Steenburgen explained to People magazine on the red carpet of her husband, who played a womanizer, at the Golden Gala on Friday on “Cheers” from 1982 to 1993.
But she soon realized “how wrong she was”.
“Smooth guys don’t say ‘gosh-a-rooni’ after making love. I’d like to apologize to my grandchildren,” she added jokingly.
She added that there is a reason why Danson is “appreciated” by everyone he works with.
“He’s just so loving and enjoys acting that all of us who work hard away from our families for long hours on set dictated by his kindness,” she said.
“Shiny guys don’t say, ‘God,’ after making love.”
She continued: “I also fell in love with the father he is and his beloved daughters… Ted loves them with all his heart and yet he had the space to love my Lilly and Charlie so perfectly. It’s quite exciting to go through life with Ted Danson.”

Danson and Steenburgen first met in 1983 and got married in 1995, and they each have two children from previous marriages.
According to Danson, the best time for a couple is very early in the morning.
“Early in the morning is the most fun,” Danson told People of their 4:30 a.m. time together. “Coffee in bed, playing Wordle, Connections and Spelling Bee, talking, laughing and sharing. It’s like heaven on Earth for both of us.”

He added: “Even if she works in a different time zone, we’ll wake up in time to play our games and drink coffee over the phone.”
