Team India All-Rounder explains the cricket lingo in the Gujatrati in a fun video [Watch]


Star Indian All-Rounder Hardik Pandya recently appeared in an entertaining video to promote the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. In the video, he shared interesting words from his mother tongue with RJ Prince Parikh.

First they started with a pizza base, stating that Gujaratiis called “Pizza No Rotlo”, and the word “Kaan on Bhungada” for headphones is similar. For Charger, Hardik pointed out that Gujaratiis uses a ‘datto’ word, while they call ‘grandparents and a child’ for their son and daughter.

The duo then spoke about cricket concepts, and Hardik Pandya mentioned that the cricket was called “Bal Bat” in the Gujarati. For the ball, the word in his mother tongue was ‘Dado’, while taking Wickkeke back is called ‘Ghaa e ghaa’. Similarly, for six, it’s ‘Chhutto Ghaa’. You can watch the funny reel here:

In the last part of the reel, Hardik mentioned that it was not purely bowling in the gujatrati, but it is ‘Pandya e uddavya Dandya’ when he raises dough stumps. When RJ mentioned the term “boys playing well,” Hardik replied, saying “Boyso Saara Ramya”.

Finally, Hardik and RJ Princey Parikh talked about how nicknames were formed on the language of Gujati. First, Prince mentioned that it was not Hardik, but it was ‘Hardikiyo’, and Hardik quickly peeked, saying that it was not Prince, but it was ‘Prindii’.

Hardik is one of the faces of promotional trophy ICC campaigns. A few days, the star of Indian versatile is also in a lightweight commercial with Shaheen Afida, Shadab Khanand Mohammad Nabi for the promotion of events. The tournament will start on February 19 in Pakistan.
