Taiwanese stocks rise at close of trade; Taiwan rose 0.33% according to Investing.com
Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Taiwan, it gained 0.33%.
The best performers of the session were Global brands Manufacture Ltd ( TW: ), which rose 9.97% or 6.30 points to 69.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Universal Inc (TW: ) added 9.90% or 2.85 points to 31.65 and Spirox Corp (TW: ) was up 9.89% or 6.20 points to 68.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Chrome ATE Inc (TW: ), which declined 9.94% or 39.00 points to 353.50 at the close. Goldsun Building Materials Co Ltd (TW:) declined 9.90% or 5.20 points to end at 47.30 and Asia Optical Co Inc (TW:) declined 5.90% or 10.50 points to 167.50.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising stocks on the Taiwan Stock Exchange 0 to 0.
Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.34% or 0.25 to $73.71 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent crude for March delivery was down 0.37%, or 0.28, at $76.23 a barrel, while gold futures for February were down 0.36%, or 9.54, at 2,645 .16 dollars per troy ounce.
USD/TWD rose 0.02% to 32.94, while TWD/CNY was unchanged 0.09% to 0.22.
US dollar index futures fell 0.03% to 108.76.
