Investing.com – Taiwan equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.

The best performers of the session were Vivotek Inc (TW: ), which rose 10.00% or 11.00 points to 121.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Arima Communications Corp (TW: ) added 9.94% or 1.80 points to end at 19.90 and Adimmune Corp (TW: ) was up 9.83% or 2.25 points to 25.15 at the end of trading.
The worst performers of the session were Favorites Inc (TW: ), which declined 8.78% or 4.45 points to 46.25 at the close. Hsin Ba Ba Corp (TW: ) declined 7.66% or 8.50 points to end at 102.50 and Action Electronics Co Ltd (TW: ) declined 7.57% or 1.45 points to 17.70.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising stocks on the Taiwan Stock Exchange 0 to 0.
Crude oil for March delivery rose 1.73% or 1.31 to $77.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent crude for March delivery rose 1.89%, or 1.51, to $81.27 a barrel, while February gold futures fell 0.02%, or 0.41, to 2,714.59. dollars per troy ounce.
USD/TWD was unchanged 0.01% at 33.11, while TWD/CNY was unchanged 0.00% at 0.22.
US dollar index futures rose 0.16% to 109.67.
