South Korean court approves extension of President Yoon’s detention Reuters

SEOUL (Reuters) – A South Korean court has approved a request to issue a detention order for arrested President Yoon Suk Yeol, the Western District Court in Seoul said on Sunday.

The approval extends the period he can be held in custody while authorities investigate him on suspicion of sedition linked to his short-lived declaration of a state of emergency on December 3 last year.
