Six Nations: Danny Care says that England has learned heavy lessons under Steve Borthwick and have to be careful about | News of rugby
The rest of the six nations must “watch” to England, who learned heavy lessons under Steve Borthwick, according to Harlequins Scrum-Holl Danny Care.
The 38-year-old withdrew from an international rugby with England after last year’s six countries, and although the side is in four-time championships without a top two endings, Care says he hopes that England will be close to being able to succeed again.
For five campaigns six nations in a row between 2019 and 2023, the concern remained from England set by Eddie Jones, and then Borthwick, before returning him to last year’s championship, on the back to join England, 2023 .
In the fall, England suffered defeats from each of the new Zealand, South Africa and Australia, but the Care says that findings from such a period could mean that this was six nations when England really came to life and fulfilled its promise in Bortwick.
“They get there. In the fall, they learned some very heavy lessons, but the lessons you almost have to go through as a younger squad. I feel that it will be better that this tournament comes for what happened in the fall,” Care Sky Sports at a promotional event for Greene King.
“Sometimes you find out more about your losses than you do your victory, and if England can turn a little bit of a wheel in the last 10 or 20 minutes and find ways to win these big games, then everyone better watch out because the depth and potential composition in that team are massive .
“We all just want to see him on the field for 80 minutes and I hope Saturday is she. I have this funny feeling that on Saturday in Dublin we could do something special against Ireland and really start the tournament.”
Borthwick’s time in charge of the national side gave mixed results. The fourth and third place six nations finished in the World Cup sandwich to the semifinals when they pushed the possible winners of South Africa to the edge.
Last year’s last win over Grand Slam Ireland in the 4th round seemed to announce the arrival of Borthwick’s England, but the side lost six of the next seven tests-against severe opposition in France, Novi Zealand (three times), South Africa and Australia.
“Steve’s great. He’s an amazing tactic,” Care says. “He knows the game so well and he just wants the best for the English rugby. He really is.
“He really cares about the guys playing for him and just wants to give them the opportunity to go and show what they can do.
“I’m completely behind this English team and I really feel like they’re on a great trajectory. I hope it starts with a six nations with a victory.
“I actually go to Dublin on Saturday, which I can’t wait to do as a fan.”
“French favorites, Ireland goes into incredible history, a chance of Scotland?”
Outside the back of the Grand Slam 2023 and the successful defense of the title 2024, Ireland seeks what neither side has ever achieved in the history of Six Nations: Three victories of titles in a row.
France, however, returns to Antoine Dupont, and the care of Les Bleus has set up her favorites for the championship.
“You really understand how rugby means to you and the whole family. Everyone gets up in the morning, put on a T -shirt, watching six nations, it’s almost like a rite of passing. You can’t wait to start.
“I think French are the favorites. I know that Ireland is going for its third in a row, which has never been done before and it would be amazing, but I feel like France with Antoine Dupont, if left in shape and they get cracking, are the essence will be incredibly difficult to stop.
“Saying this, this is the best tournament in the world and anyone could beat anyone, which is amazing. I really hope for England and I think she is Scotland, if she ever win her, this could be a year.
“That’s why it’s so special. You probably have four teams there thinking they could or should win.
“Then you have Wales and Italy. Wales is desperate to win, and Italy, I mean, will win several teams to this tournament. It will be amazing.
“It’s crazy to think it’s the anniversary of the 25th year. It’s the most off -world tournament for me.”
‘Dupont will lower as the biggest rugby player ever’
France and Toulouse Scrum-Polt Dupont missed the sixth nation in 2024 to prioritize the priority at the Olympic Games, continuing to provide gold in Paris during the summer.
As someone who plays the same position on rugby grounds, care is well set up that Lira lyrical because of Dupont’s talents, but the quality of the Frenchman goes beyond half a half, Care says. In fact, he says Dupont is the best one has ever been in sports.
“I think they’ll get down as the best player ever. I really think they will. People say he hasn’t won the World Cup yet, but it’s a team sport, not an individual thing.
“What is doing on rugby ground is nothing wonder and the week is a week. Consistent shine is the way I describe it.
“He doesn’t have a bad game, he just continues to raise and raise the level, and no one has worked it out yet. He simply has this kind of impact on any game and acts on a completely different level in the moment.”
