Sheamus has backed a fellow Irish star to win a huge title match on WWE RAW tonight. The veteran will also be in action in the match against the Imperium Ludwig Kaiser.
Lyra Valkyria and Dakota Kai have reached the finals of the Women’s Intercontinental Championship tournament and will battle it out tonight on the red brand. The winner of the match will be crowned the inaugural champion.
Ahead of tonight’s episode WWE RAWthe company shared a video of Sheamus helping Valkyria work out and wondering if the former NXT Women’s Champion would be able to win the tournament.
Sheamus reacted to the announcement and let it be known that tonight on RAW he is picking Valkyrie to become the first ever Women’s Intercontinental Champion. You can see his comment in the screenshot below.
“You’ll never beat the Irish ☘️,” he wrote.
Lyra Valkyria reached the finals of the 2024 Queen of the Ring tournament, but was defeated by Nia Jax. The Irresistible Force then defeated Bayley at SummerSlam to become the WWE Women’s Champion. However, Tiffany Stratton has finally cashed in her Money in the Bank contract earlier this month on SmackDown to wrest the title from Jax.
Sheamus reveals his frustration with WWE officials over his entrance music
RAW Superstar Sheamus recently revealed that he was frustrated that he didn’t get to use his “Written in My Face” theme song.
Talking to Chris Van Vliet on INSIGHT podcast, the 46-year-old shared that he tired of asking society to let him use the entrance song. The former frontman of The Brawling Brutes also praised fans for their creativity in coming up with memes about the song.
“Oh man, a long time ago. Maybe, I don’t know. Maybe 2010. People are very creative on the internet. Very creative, especially with music. I miss that song though. A lot of people were upset he got it back but he wasn’t allowed to keep it . [can we have it back?] Maybe… I don’t know, man. Want to go and ask? Go ask, I’m tired of asking. I’m not looking anymore,” he said.

The veteran never won the Intercontinental Championship during his career and came up short in a Triple Threat Match against Bron Breaker and Ludwig Kaiser for the title at WWE Survivor Series 2024. It will be interesting to see if the legend can defeat Ludwig Kaiser tonight on RAW.
