Sanju Samson’s father makes explosive allegations

India star Sanju SamsonHis father, Viswanath, has again taken a shot at the Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) for accusing them of ‘hatching a conspiracy’ against his son. Viswanath has gone all out against KCA ever since his son was left out of Kerala’s Vijay Hazare Trophy squad.

Reports revealed that KCA accepted the big call after Sanju Samson did not attend the mandatory training camp. Later, KCA president Jayesh George also criticized the batsman for his role in the whole drama. George claimed that Sanju Samson has only himself to blame after pulling out of the camp with just one line of text message.

However, Viswanath is not at all impressed with the KCA’s decision and their president’s recent comments against his son. Samson Sr. doubled down on the association and accused them of tarnishing his son’s reputation.

A worried Viswanath also said that KCA could use Sanju Samson as a scapegoat for any misdeeds. He also invited other state associations to give his son the opportunity to represent them.

“I knew about six months ago that they were planning something against Sanju. KCA plotted things in such a way that he left Kerala. We couldn’t fight them. There are directors. You can’t answer them, I can’t challenge them. My child is not safe .

“They will blame everything on Sanju and people will also believe them. So I really want my son to stop playing cricket for Kerala. If any country wants to give my son a chance, saying ‘Sanju, come and play for us’, I am ready to invest that appeal,” Samson Viswanath told Sports Tak.

Viswanath defends son Sanju Samson:

Speaking further, Viswanath defended his son, saying he was just an individual against a ‘big, powerful association’. He stated that the KCA may come out with some conspiracy theories against his son in the coming days. He also made it clear that he has no intention of his son representing KCA again in the future.

“Sanju is just an individual, while the KCA is a big, powerful association. I’m afraid they will come up with conspiracy theories against my son. I don’t know why they’re persecuting us. We haven’t done anything wrong to them or anyone else for that matter.

Sanju enjoyed nothing else in his life except cricket. Apart from the cricket field and training, he did not focus on anything else. He devoted 30 years of his life to cricket but now he is isolated. I’ve had enough; they want to get him out of this association (KCA),” Viswanath said.

Meanwhile, Sanju Samson represented Team India on Wednesday (January 22) when the Men in Blue took on England in the 1st T20I at the Eden Gardens. Although Samson could not score big in the game, he gave India an explosive start.

With India chasing 133 runs, Samson was bowled out Gus Atkinson for 22 runs in the second over before departing for 26. India went on to win the game by 7 wickets. Second T20I of five matches series will take place on Saturday (January 25) in Chennai.
