Ringo Starr admits that he had no ‘real plan’ when he switched to the music at Country
Former Beatles drummer Ringo Starr changes music from rock to country.
The legendary artist shared that he was changing melodia during a press conference on the occasion of his new country album “Look Up”.
When the Fox News Digital asked what was the inspiration behind the album, he explained that T Bone Burnett, a producer and songwriter who worked with Bob Dylan, Alison Krauss and others, helped the board revive.
“T Bone was an inspiration because I met him at the party we were at … We just gathered,” Starr remarked. The duo met the first time in the 1970s.
The 84-year-old rocker continued to explain that the two had shared on which projects they were working on. Starr worked on the creation of an EP and suggested Burnett, if he had songs, to send them to him.
“He sent me a song that is the most beautiful country song I have heard in many years. It’s a kind of country from the 50’s. And so, I thought, well, I’ll simply make a country ep … Most of them are.

The Beatles legend said that Starr, when Burnett visited Los Angeles, asked him to produce what the EP was at the time. Since the guitarist and producer told Starr that he had nine songs, he agreed to make an all -night album.

Starr’s life’s love for country music was obvious and celebrated during his glorious career, according to a press release. He performed and wrote numerous country and country songs colored over the years with the Beatles, including “Act Naturally”, “What Goes on” and “Don’t Pass Me by”.
“I love Ring Starra and his playing … his singing and his aesthetics since I know about myself,” Burnett said in a press release. “He changed the way of playing all the drummers after him, with his inventive approach to the instrument.”
“He always sang a murderous rockabilly, and he was also a heartfelt singer of Ballad. Creating this music with him was something like the realization of a 60-year-old dream I lived. Nothing from a job I did a long life in music would have happened if it hadn’t been for him And his band, among other things, this album is the way I can tell you thank you for everything he gave me and us. “
