Real Madrid will try again sign Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold in the coming days, it is claimed.
Madrid are confident of completing Alexander-Arnold’s signature on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of the season, but their poor form has forced them to look to delay that deal until January.
Liverpool’s approach was rejected at the start of the window, and it was announced recently Madrid began to accept they were unable to convince the Reds to sell, but MARCH claim the opposite.
After the Super Cup defeat to Barcelona, club officials have admitted that action is needed this month to arrest the team’s decline, and there is agreement that paying Alexander-Arnold’s contract now would be a worthwhile move.
Madrid however, they will try to avoid overpaying for a player they believe has already decided to join them on a free in the summer anyway, but are willing to make an offer to try and tempt Liverpool cash in on your local star while they still can.
A new left-back and centre-back are also on the cards for Madrid. There is apparently still confidence in talks with Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies, despite recent claims that a contract extension is the likely outcome for the Canadian international.
