Rashford is in talks with a leading sports agency as rumors of a United move grow

Marcus Rashford has held talks with a leading sports agency in a bid to push through a move away from Manchester United this month, according to reports.

According to The Sun, the 27-year-old has been in contact with Stellar, the same agency that helped Gareth Bale’s £86m move to Real Madrid from Tottenham Hotspur in 2013.

On its website, Stellar claims to ‘create the best opportunities for talent to maximize their careers and achieve their ambitions.’

Rashford is currently represented by Dwaine’s brother Maynard, but The Sun also claim he is ready to join Stellar to secure a move.

It’s been a turbulent time for Rashford under new United boss Ruben Amorim. Before Monday’s 2-0 defeat at Newcastle, where he was an unused substitute, Rashford was left out of United’s squad for four games by the Portuguese manager.

This led the England forward to reveal in an interview with journalist Henry Winter in December that he was “ready for a new challenge”, fueling increasing speculation about his future at Old Trafford.

But the United academy graduate insisted he “won’t be upset” if he leaves the Red Devils.

“You will not have any negative comments from me about Manchester United. That’s who I am as a person,” he said.

United are currently 14th in the Premier League table after a poor run of results in which they have lost three consecutive games without scoring a goal.

They travel to league leaders and fierce rivals Liverpool on January 5 before traveling to Arsenal in the third round of the FA Cup seven days later.
