Protesters in New York are calling for an ‘intifada revolution’ hours after the attack in New Orleans
Hundreds of protesters called for an “intifada revolution” in Times Square on New Year’s Day, hours after a terrorist carrying an ISIS flag plowed into dozens of protesters at a New Orleans New Year’s Day parade.
Participants in the protest in New York – organized by the Palestinian Youth Movement, the Party for Socialism and Liberation and the People’s Forum, according to New York Post — he chanted “There is only one solution: the intifada revolution.”
Among other songs were “Resistance is glorious – we will be victorious;” “We will honor all our martyrs; and “Gaza, you make us proud.”

Protesters carried signs reading “Zionism is cancer”, “No war against Iran” and “End all US aid to Israel”. the Times of Israel reported.
“We’re sending you back to Europe you white dick——,” one keffiyeh-wearing woman yelled at counter-protesters in an exchange captured on video. “Go back to Europe!”
The speaker shouted through the megaphone that “2024 was the year of the fight against the crimes of Zionism.”

“We will be here every year from generation to generation until complete liberation and return,” the speaker said, according to the Times of Israel.
Hours before the protest, 42-year-old Shamsud-Din Jabbar rammed his pickup truck into a crowd of New Year’s revelers on Bourbon Street in New Orleans.
Jabbar — who was killed in a shootout with police — was a US citizen who lived in TexasFBI Assistant Chief Agent Alethea Duncan said at a news conference Wednesday afternoon.
The attack happened around 3:15 a.m. on Wednesday, leaving 15 dead, including Jabbar, and 35 people injured.

Deputy Assistant Director of the FBI Christopher Raja said Thursday that investigators recovered several weapons from the crime scene and surrounding areas, including two improvised explosive devices (IEDs) in refrigerators located at the intersection of Bourbon and Orleans streets and another intersection just two blocks away. He added that the FBI wants to talk to witnesses who may have seen refrigerators with IEDs.
Jabbar served in the Army as a human resources specialist and information technology (IT) specialist from March 2007 to January 2015. After active duty, he served in the Army Reserve as an IT specialist from January 2015 to July 2020.
During his mandate, he was deployed in Afghanistan from February 2009 to January 2010.

Jabbar said in Facebook videos before the attack that he joined ISIS before this summer and made a will and testament, according to the FBI.
