Pete Carroll named Raiders head coach: reports
After abandoning the project that was Antonio Pierce, Las Vegas Raiders they bring in a coaching veteran.
The Raiders reportedly agreed to a deal that would make him Pete Carroll their next head coach.

However, they went just 4-13 this season amid a rough patch, and Pierce lasted just one season without the interim tag.
It’s a total overhaul for Vegas, as they also fired general manager Tom Telesco just days after getting rid of Pierce.
Carroll reportedly received a three-year contract with a team option for a quarter.
Carroll, who will turn 74 at the start of the NFL season, was a consultant for Seattle Seahawks After being their head coach for 14 seasons. He coached them to Super Bowl appearances, winning one.
Before joining Seattle, Carroll was on the USC sideline for 10 seasons, where he similarly led the Trojans to national championships, but split them. He was also the head coach of the Jets and Patriots in the 1990s.
Carroll won four Rose Bowls at USC and five division titles with Seattle.
The Raiders have the sixth overall pick, which is not ideal for them as they are in desperate need of a kick returner. He figures Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders will be taken inside the top three.
