Pat Cummins makes ‘last series’ statement on Virat Kohli amid retirement speculation
Virat Kohli it wasn’t great series with the bat in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2020-25. The 36-year-old batsman was clearly not at his best and his weakness off the stumps was clearly exposed by Australia’s world-class attack.

Pat Cummins opens Virat Kohli’s final possible Test series in Australia
According to Pat Cummins, Virat Kohli’s aggression and on-field theatrics bring life to the game. He wants to get into the opponent’s head in order to win the game for his country.
“It’s always been a wonderful competition. More than just the runs he’s scored, he brings a bit of theatrics to the game which is sometimes good and sometimes he can rile you up as an opponent, which is certainly part of his plan,” Cummins was quoted as saying by PTI.
The Australian captain also revealed that he will be sad if this is Kohli’s last tour in Australia and wants him to continue playing for now.
“I really enjoyed playing with him. You know, he’s been one of the best batsmen for the last ten years. You know, if you get his wicket, it goes a long way to winning the game, so yeah, it’ll be sad if it’s his last series.” he added.
