Ohio State quarterback Will Howard can’t go on stage for Rose Bowl celebration: ‘They’re blocking me’
Will Howard played a big role Ohio State A 41-21 victory in the Rose Bowl, but his celebration was cut short.
After the eighth-seeded Buckeyes advanced to the College football playoffs semi-final, the team members went on stage with roses in their mouths.
However, Howard was late to the party and was never able to join his teammates and head coach Ryan Day.

Several people, including some Buckeyes, tried to inform those in charge that he was the quarterback who had just thrown for 319 yards and three touchdowns. But the man blocking the entrance wouldn’t let Howard in.
“They’re blocking me there,” Howard said. “Obviously there is a weight limit.”
The Buckeyes surrendered first place Oregon his first and only loss of the season after blowing a 34-0 lead.
Howard was 17-for-26 and threw three touchdowns, two of which went to Offensive MVP Jeremiah Smith. Smith’s two touchdowns were part of a seven-reception, 187-yard performance.
Oregon beat the Buckeyes 32-31 earlier this season.
Ohio State heads to the Cotton Bowl on Jan. 10 to face No. 4 Texas for a spot in the national title game. The Longhorns barely came through earlier Wednesday, holding off Arizona State 39-31 in double overtime in the Peach Bowl.

The fourth and final semifinal spot will go to either No. 2 Georgia or No. 7 Notre Dame after Thursday’s Sugar Bowl. The contest was postponed a day after the terrorist attack in New Orleans, less than three miles away from the game’s venue, the Caesars Superdome.
