NYPD makes arrest in fatal stabbing of postal worker on duty
The The NYPD filed charges woman in the fatal stabbing of a USPS on-duty worker Thursday afternoon.
The woman, identified as Jaia Cruz, 24, has been charged with second-degree murder stabbing and cutting the postal clerk on duty at a Harlem deli.
The victim, now identified as Ray Hodges, 36, was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem where he was pronounced dead, according to police.

The attack allegedly began after an argument between two customers, according to the police.
The weapon was found. However, he was not identified.
The United States Postal Inspection Service (USPIS) released a statement saying that a postal worker has been assigned to Manhattan and that they are cooperating with the NYPD.

“USPIS considers matters involving the safety and well-being of Postal Service employees a top priority. We are working diligently with the New York City Police Department on this investigation,” the statement said.
