Rafa Mir
£13.7m for Sevilla, 2021
Rafa Mir joined Wolves from Valencia in 2018 at the age of 20, but things never really worked out for the Spaniard, who made just a handful of first-team appearances in the Midlands.
He was sent out on loan to Las Palmas, Nottingham Forest and Huesca before being sold to Sevilla on a permanent basis 13.7 million pounds agreement in 2021.

Matt Doherty
£14.7m for Tottenham, 2020
Right-back Matt Doherty spent 10 years at Molineux, his best times under Nuno Espirito Santo when Old Gold won the league title and qualified for Europe.
The childhood Arsenal fan was eventually sold to Tottenham for 14.7 million pounds In 2020, but three years after his time in north London, a brief stint at Atletico Madrid, Doherty returned to Wolves.

Helder Costa
£16m to Leeds, 2020
Winger Helder Costa helped Wolves win promotion to the Premier League in 2018 but was loaned out to Leeds United in the Championship a year later.
He also helped the Whites win the league title during his loan spell, with Costa’s move made permanent for a fee in the region 16 million pounds.

Nathan Collins
£23m to Brentford, 2023
Nathan Collins’ stay at Molineux was short-lived, spending just one full season with Wolves before being sold to Brentford in 2023.
The Republic of Ireland international joined the Bees for what was a club record 23 million poundsresulting in Wolves earning £3m.

Morgan Gibbs-White
£25m for Nottingham Forest, 2022
Attacking midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White came through Wolves’ academy and spent several years in the Molineux senior team before moving to Nottingham Forest in 2022.
The Reds paid the initial fee 25 million pounds for Gibbs-White, although an additional £17.5 million could be paid for extras relating to performance and appearance.

Diogo Jota
£40m for Liverpool, 2020
It’s scary to think that Diogo Jota played for Wolves in the Championship and was a key member of the team that won promotion in 2018.
The Portuguese international’s first loan spell at Molineux became permanent while he was still in the second division, and after three years in the Midlands, Liverpool called and paid in 2020 40 million pounds for the attacker.

Max Kilman
£40m for West Ham, 2024
Centre-back Max Kilman reunited with former Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui in 2024 when he moved to West Ham in 40 million pounds transfer.
It didn’t work out for Lopetegui, who was sacked by the Hammers, while Kilman, who spent six seasons at Molineux, signed a seven-year deal with West Ham.

Ruben Neves
£47m to Al-Hilal, 2023
Ruben Neves swapped the Champions League for the Championship when he signed for Wolves in 2017 and would go on to make more than 250 appearances for the Old Gold.
Regularly linked with moves away from Molineux, Neves eventually swapped the Midlands for Saudi Arabia, with Al-Hilal paying 47 million pounds for the Portuguese national team in 2023.

Pedro Neto
£51.3m to Chelsea, 2024
Another Portuguese star who set Molineux alight was winger Pedro Neto. But he had problems with injuries, making 135 appearances in five full seasons.
Chelsea were undeterred by Neto’s injury history and spent years more than £50 million on the forward in 2024, with the wide forward signing a seven-year contract at Stamford Bridge.

Matheus Nunes
£53m for Man City, 2023
Matheus Nunes is currently the most expensive Wolves departure of all time after him 53 million pounds moves to Manchester City in 2023.
The midfielder featured in his only campaign for Molineux after joining from Sporting CP, so much so that they at the Etihad improved their initial offer and secured Nunes a five-year contract.
